HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot rose to $91,194 for Saturday’s program at Gulfstream Park when the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the fifth consecutive racing day Friday.
Multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $5,468.72.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is routinely paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket sold, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 7-12
On Friday’s twilight program, jockey Edgard Zayas rode three winners, including back-to-back winners to start the day: Wild Good ($4.80) in the first and Lantiz ($7) in the second. He added a victory in the eighth aboard Capital S ($6.40), a Ralph Nicks-trained 2-year-old Florida Sire Stakes-eligible son of Wildcat Heir who debuted with a front-running victory, and in the last aboard Stone Heart ($14.80).
