Second in the Holy Bull at 128-1 odds and the Preakness at a ‘mere’ 29-1, never say never with this grandson of 1992 Belmont Stakes winner A.P. Indy. Still, he rides a 10-race losing streak (8 of them in stakes) and his Preakness pilot Joel Rosario switches mounts to Belmont rival Sir Winston. Luis Saez instead will be aboard during the appeal of his 15-day suspension handed down by the state stewards after the Kentucky Derby disqualification of Maximum Security. Everfast employed a deep-closing style at Pimlico, but could be closer to the pace in the Belmont. Trainer Dale Romans has yet to win a Belmont, but has finished third in this race 4 times, most recently with Keen Ice (2015).
