The Gotham winner got in great race shape to capitalize, and then came with a modest run when third in the Wood Memorial. There’s still question how far he wants to go. It’s been since 2003 that a Wood Memorial alumnus has landed in the Kentucky Derby trifecta. That year Funny Cide and Empire Maker ran 1-2.
