Hawthorne Racecourse has a 9-race card. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 6, and it will be my focus. Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6 (8:50 PM CST)

1-Allineeizisamiracle (6-1)-Got hung out in last and that trip didn't end well. Should be a price and can win if takes advantage of the inside post draw. Needs a cozy trip and if so, good things could happen.
2-Imarealrockinrebel (3-1)-Tried to wire the last field and faded but that was the 1st race since 6-13. Plus, was used twice and did finish 3rd, so should be tight enough to be a threat this time.
8-Always B A Lady (7/2)-Seldom wins, is only 1 for 25 and that picture came in the last start. Takes a good step up but still fits if minds its manners. Went gate to wire from post 8, did roll the back half in .57, so will use and hope not overbet.

Race 7 (9:10 PM CST)

1-Love Is Blue (4-1)-Probably won't be able to win against this field being 14 lengths back at the 1st call. This time leaves from the rail instead of post 7. Put up a big performance in last and will respect chances to double up.
2-Who'zzz This Sky (9/2)-Has been in the hunt at the wire and Todd Warren might try to get on the point and control the mile. Could also look to stay inside, save ground, and be the best down the lane.
5-Fred's Finale (7/2)-Dillon trainee bunces back and forth between Hoosier and Hawthorne, and has 2 second place finishes in 3 starts in Stickney. Should be in play off the gate and could finally seal the deal.

Race 8 (9:30 PM CST)

4-Jezibel Mooss (15-1)-Tried a different plan in last, got on the point from post 6 and missed by a neck. Will take a swing at this price, counting on another big try and doesn't need to lead every step of the way to take a picture.
10-Dream (2-1)-Post 10 makes it a challenge but the Mike Brink sophomore comes off 2 big efforts, winning from post 8 and post 6. Need to use and will rely on Juan Franco finding a way to provide a sharp steer.

Race 9 (9:50 PM CST)

7-Major Attribute (7/2)-This is the 1st start for the Mike Letton barn and the trainer also owns. Steps up in a hodge-podge affair after a nice win. Should be in the hunt and could reward the new connections immediately.
9-Sanday A (10-1)-Ausie invader tuned-up with a very nice qualifier and this price shot has a chance if fires hot off the bench in its debut. Could surprise if the fractions are honest, and Franco gets into striking range by the top of the stretch.
