Northfield Park has a 16-race card, and the $1.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 11. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool with a 14% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Race 11 (9:20 PM EST)

4-Jailhouse Yankee (7-1)-Hunter Myers gets the call, he knows the 4-year-old and that can help. Has one good move and should be forwardly placed. Doesn't win often but this is a spot where a picture could happen.
5-Covid Cartel (5/2)-Got on the engine from post 6 and didn't look back. Aaron Merriman is back between the pipes and the plan won't change. Shouldn't have an issue getting the lead and will respect chances of doubling up.

Race 12 (9:42 PM EST)

2-Blackjack Dragon (7/2)-Raced big at Nfld in July and the beginning of August and then was put away. Merriman takes a seat, so will assume all systems are "go". Qualifier in Dayton was in the slop on 12-20 and was okay.
4-Pestcontrol (7-1)-Recent post draws have been 9-6-9-6, so gets some needed post relief. Was used from post 9 in last and did work its way to the top but the trip took a toll. The price is right to take a swing and should get a smoother journey.
5-Watch U R Back (4-1)-Having only 1 win in 28 races this year is cause for pause, but did close nicely in last with Corey Kreiser between the pipes. Gets a hot Hunter Myers tonight, leaves from a good post, and beat this kind on 11-19.

Race 13 (10:04 PM EST)

2-Annapolis Hanover (2-1)-Beat this kind on 12-23 from this post. Took off when the wings folded with a 27.2 quarter and didn't slow down. Rolled home in 153.2 to win by over 8 lengths in its Nfld debut. It has some new challengers, but it shouldn't matter.

Race 14 (10:26 PM EST)

2-Tri State Trooper (3-1)-Was in too tough in DTN and now ships back. Draws inside so should easily land on the point and has met a beatable field. Has been off since 12-3 but Merriman gets the nod, and he has posted 27% winners for the France barn.
6-Silencethewitness (3-1)-Steps up after winning at 4/5 and looked the part of an odds-on chalk. Has the gate speed to get a decent seat and will respect chances of taking another picture versus a soft bunch.
