Northfield Park has a 15-race card with the $1.00 Late Pick 4 starting in Race 11. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool with a 14% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 11 (9:40 PM EST)

4-Cyclone Banner N (5-1)-AMac picks up the catch drive, the veteran was used a couple of times and finished a close 2nd. Has been competitive at this level and took a picture versus this company on 12-29. Will blast out and will go as far as possible on the lead.
6-Back In My Day (7-1)-Won its last race from the 2nd tier and beat this kind on 2-10. That was a nice effort and went off as the 8/5 chalk. Loses Kurt Sugg but Luke Ebersole can work a covered trip and the price is right to take a swing.

Race 12 (10:02 PM EST)

2-Dirty Dreams (5-1)-Makes the 2nd start off a claim for the Millner barn and raced evenly in last. Greg Grismore needs an aggressive steer with this post draw and should be a square price.
3-Record Machine (12-1)-This is a competitive level for the veteran. Price shot should be in the hunt but needs the right trip for a win. Chris Lems will look to save ground and be close to leader down the lane.
6-Moved Bythe Spirit (9/5)-Ships in from MVR after facing better there and lands in a good spot for a picture. Has beaten tougher at Nfld and has posted 11 wins in 28 starts there.

Race 13 (10:24 PM EST)

2-Commander Bob (5-1)-Slow starter knows how to roll late but so far this year it has been too late to post a win. Using because the price could be higher than the morning line, and just in case the choice doesn't have its fastball.
3-Down On My Luck (2-1)-Program chalk should get the point off the gate and not burn much gas. Should be tough to tackle if brings a top try.

Race 14 (10:46 PM EST)

5-Camouflage Money (9/2)-Ships in from the Mea and lands in a soft spot. Hasn't raced since 1-23 but would be a main player if doesn't need the start. Chris Lems could leave and land on the point or in the pocket and either works for a picture.
6-R Maddy Blue Chip (5/2)-Drops and may have met a beatable field but is only 1-17 at Nfld. Ronnie Wrenn has the gate speed to race at the top of the stack. Will look for that plan and could be a clean trip away from cashing the top check.
