Northfield Park has a 15-race card, and the $1.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 11. The sequence has a $10,000 guaranteed pool with a low 14% takeout, and it will be my focus. Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 11 (9:40 EDT)

3-Patrikthepiranha A (5-1)-Recent form in the last 3 races has been dull but has been in too tough. Last was in the slop and didn't win in 21 tries on a wet surface. Drops back to the level of its last win on 3-9 and AMac should have the veteran in play when the wings fold.
5-Lake Charles (7/2)-Miami Valley shipper lands at level where a picture could happen. Has won 7 of 18 at Nfld,
does have the gate speed to get a close-up seat and should be in the mix at the wire.
6-One Last Laugh (5-1)-Drops to a more comfortable level but the challenge will be to get on the point with this post draw. Should be a square price and could win. But needs a smooth trip and to be on the lead or very close to it at the top of the lane.

Race 12 (10:02 EDT)

6-Smoking Jet (7/2)-Burke trainee has won 20 of 39 at Nfld and knows how to take pictures at this level, Ships back from Mea and has been racing well. Ronnie Wrenn will have the pedal down and should be battling the other Meadows invader #6 Looks Like Moni (2-1). Will lean here, gets a post edge and this will be the 1st start at Nfld for the program chalk.

Race 13 (10:24 EDT)

4-Spooky Lou (9-1)-Broke last week in the 1st race after a sick scratch, comes right back and drops a notch. This will be 1st time for Lasix and should be a player against this kind.
8-Downbytheparade (9/2)-Beat some from this field last week leaving from the 2nd tier. Should fit well against this crew. The post helps the price and could double up with a sharp steer in the 2nd start off the bench.

Race 14 (10:46 EDT)

5-Rockin Daddy O (3/2)-Not liking the small price but against this field should have the best chance of winning. Banked over $72K last year, is 0-8 in 2025 but if Father Time has not arrived in full force Daddy should have his way with this bunch.
