Yonkers Raceway has a 10-race card. The $2.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 7, and it will be my focus. Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 7 (8:45 PM EDT)

1-Coachellabound N (5/2)-Obviously, this mare isn't as good as last year. Whatever the issues have been this is a level for a picture. Was used off the car in last against this kind. Was parked out and dropped into the pocket behind a leader who went 30.1 in the 2nd quarter. Raced well, but the winner was better and rolled by, but best not to overlook here.
4-Lydeo (8/5)-The Dilloian trainee has cashed checks in the last 4 and faces a bit better. One-move type has to have the button pushed at the right time. George Brennan takes over, and he knows how to win with the mare. Did just that on 6-13 from the same post against this kind.

Race 8 (9:05 PM EDT)

6-Aardie B Miki N (5-1)-This mare will be tough to beat if ready to roll in the 1st race since 7-11 and has won 5 of 6 at Yonkers. The Engblom entry comes off 2 good qualifiers at Yonkers and is well worth a swing at the morning line price.
7-Rocket Deo (2-1)-Winner of 3 in a row loves taking pictures winning 18-31 races since the start of 2024. Doesn't need to lead every step of the way to win and Jordan Stratton should have in striking range at the top of the lane.

Race 9 (9:25 PM EDT)

3-Cactustotheclouds (9/2)-Dropped to this level last time, got the pocket behind a longshot leader who slowed down and jammed up the field. Shook free and had some trot after the plugs were pulled. Has a tendency to be on the left line and that didn't help. Jordan Strattan gets the call, he knows the mare and will look for a smoother trip and an overdue win.
6-Austral Hanover (4-1)-Broke early on and lost all chance in an extra distance race. Fits better here, Colin Kelly
gets the nod and he cashed checks versus better in August. Could offer a square price and will look for an aggressive steer versus this kind.

Race 10 (9:45 PM EDT)

2-Albergo Hanover (6-1)-The 10-year-old battles from coast to coast on different size ovals but wins are hard to come by. Lands in the Joe B barn and raced better in a needed start here last week. Should offer a decent price and could get a top of the stack trip against a beatable field.
5-Kimble A (3-1)-Came a good 2nd last week and raced better than the line looked. The opening half was in a slow
58.1 and Jim Marohn had to go 1st over into a .28 third quarter. Rallied nicely down the lane but was out closed by the pocket sitter.
